Keyaki 'Zelkova'
KEYAKI is the Japanese name for the zelkova tree, a tree that is symbolic of Sendai. This spacious room's expertly crafted flooring, wooden beams, and even its key
tags are all made using zelkova wood.
Guests can enjoy the beautiful seasonal scenery of the Japanese garden outside
from the spacious indoor veranda.
The Japanese-Style room is perfect for both young children and elderly guests,
as well as groups, and accomodates a maximum of 8 guests.
Japanese style futon mattresses will be prepared for all guests.
The bathroom area features a rain shower head, and extra space with a double
bowl sink and an additional area to wash up.

◆Slippers: Made using the same material as seats used in the luxury Gran Class car of the Tohoku Shinkansen Bullet Train ‘Hayabusa’.
◆Coffee Cup: Made using Aizu-nuri laquerware from Fukushima Prefecture
◆Teapot and Teacup: Feature a pattern based on ‘Ugoki’ a famous edible plant in Yamagata Prefecture
◆Teaware and Tea chest: made from wood from the zelkova tree, the symbol of Sendai
◆Sliding doors: door handles are made from Nambu Tekki Ironware from Iwate Prefecture
◆Furnishings: seating and tables are modeled with a curved design, the desk on the indoor veranda is made by the famous Tendo Woodwork company.
